The Chicago Hawks 12A girls team won the 2023 Illinois State Championship in style, winning two out of three games in the round robin and taking the championship game in a thrilling victory! 

These girls were in the middle of the pack in their division most of the year, winning some and humbly learning from the losses.  Under the steady direction of their coaches, they kept getting better, building confidence, and growing together as a team.

The joy on the faces of the players, coaches, and parents after the State game makes every trip to the rink, tough practice, and off-ice workout worth it.  And, best of all, the girls shared the experience with their teammates, deepening the friendships that will likely last a lifetime. Is it too soon to look forward to next season?
