Welcome to the 2017 Fall Conditioning Camp with Chicago Hawks Hockey!
The Chicago Hawks will offer a conditioning clinic in August. The camp will consist of drills, games and scrimmages to help players prepare for tryouts. The camp will also familiarize players with the Hawks coaches who will be running tryouts and selecting teams the following week. The camp will cost $95 (Goalies $50) (Girls $50 (Girls Goalies $25)) and run August 21-30 (Girls Aug 12-13). Any questions contact Rob New Burg at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Chicago Hawks Girls and Midget U15, U16, 18 tryouts take place August 15 through August 20. Squirt through Bantam Tryouts/Evaluations start Thursday, September 1. Like last year, they will be by birth year the first night. It is important to note that not all teams are by birth year but some will be still be selected by ability. We reserve the right to form teams and place players in an environment where we feel they will development both on and off the ice. After the first night of tryouts, we will send an email out to inform your player which Group to attend for the next session. This list will contain the first nine digits of your players USA hockey number without the letters at the end and the group that he/she should attend. Please see the tryout schedule online.
While we try to place all players on teams, we do not guarantee that your player will make his/her desired team. They may be placed at a lower level that we feel is better suited for their skill level. As an example, a player trying out for a NIHL team may be placed on a NWHL team or a player trying out for a NWHL team may be placed on our in house team.
This season, player apparel and game jersey/uniform fittings will be done by Sin Bin representatives. During conditioning or tryouts, please plan to arrive early or stay late to be sized for all items in the 2017-18 apparel package. All items are included in player fees. A parent/responsible adult will need to be present and sign off on the order. You should attend one of these sessions to ensure proper fitting. No player will be allowed on the ice during their last tryout date if they have not sized. Don’t wait. Go early and beat the rush. Fitting dates are as follows:

UPDATED August 9th, 2017
Silver Mites is specifically designed for 5, 6 and 7-year-olds (2010-2013 birth years) that are new to hockey and usually have completed a Learn to Skate program or Learn to Play program. They are average skaters that may possess the skill to play at a higher level, but may not be able to understand all the rules and concepts or have the maturity for competition in a game setting.
This level will not focus on how to run a power play or working on different line combinations. Instead, it will concentrate on skill development. Players will receive jerseys. Games will be cross ice and the practice format will be USA Hockey ADM format with the goal in mind of developing these players to move to the next level. All practices will be run by the Chicago Hawks Hockey Directors with parent helpers assisting both on and off the ice.
We plan to have Six Silver Mite teams with limited rosters that will practice together on Thursday early evenings and Saturday early afternoons and play half ice games on Sunday mornings. Evaluations are $50 and the program itself costs $695 for the Fall session which runs from September and ends mid-December. Players selected for the program will be directed to register after evaluations to pay their fees.
Evaluations: (Both days are mandatory)
Thursday 9/7/17 - 4:30-5:30pm
Saturday 9/9/17 - 11:00-12:00pm,
