Mite 2, in conjunction with the Sultan and Sakeba Issa Family Foundation, are holding a Donations Open House on December 10, 2011 from 1-3pm. Chicago Blackhawks Dave Bolland, Brent Seabrook, and Marian Hossa will be on hand to help accept your food or monetary donations for those in need. For those unable to attend the open house but wish to contribute, donations will be accepted Dec 1st thru Dec 10th at Global Luxury Imports LLC, 161 N. Tower Drive, Suite J, in Burr Ridge.

Donation items most needed include canned or boxed non-perishable items such as canned beans, canned fruit, canned vegetables, cereal, canned chili, jelly, macaroni and cheese, pasta, pasta sauce, peanut butter, rice, canned soup, canned stew, and canned tuna. Monetary donations in the form of a check made payable to the Greater Chicago Food Depository will also be accepted. Please keep in mind that it takes only $20 to feed a family of four for a day.
